IDH- Society for Integrated Development of Himalayas! A unique organization that i had a chance to learn more about when I spent 4 incredible days at their picturesque campus near Mussoorie. At SIDH, holistic and relevant education is viewed as a process that leads to understanding of reality – which includes the ‘self’, the ‘other’, the ‘society’, and Nature and their inter-relationships. This understanding then becomes the basis of responsible living, which ultimately leads to a happy and meaningful life. This is in direct contrast to the factory style schooling with its two over arching aims: production and consumption. No wonder we become just economic agents walking out the doors
